The client’s previous deck had thick walls for railings, significantly obstructing their beautiful golf course views. Additionally, the patio space below was too small to accommodate lounge furniture, limiting its usability comfortably. This is how our Modern Lafayette Curved Deck project began.
To address these issues, our O’Keefe Built team installed custom horizontal curved railings, providing unobstructed golf course views. Curved boards from TimberTech enhanced the modern aesthetic and increased the usable space.
We expanded the patio area by removing the existing flagstone and replacing it with a larger, stamped, colored, and sealed concrete pad. This improvement comfortably accommodates all lounge chairs, creating a more inviting and functional space. The stonework on the columns was meticulously matched to the home’s existing stonework, ensuring a cohesive and seamless look.
The project highlights include unobstructed views provided by the custom horizontal curved railing design, which eliminates previous visual obstructions and allows for an uninterrupted view of the surrounding golf course. The curved boards further enhanced the modern aesthetic, adding a stylish touch to the overall look and feel of the deck.
Thanks to the larger, stamped, colored, and sealed concrete pad, the expanded patio space now offers ample room for lounging and outdoor activities. Finally, the seamless integration of the stone columns with the home’s existing stonework achieved a cohesive and visually appealing result.
