The family’s old deck in Boulder, Colo., was looking worn and outdated. The boards had started to fade, warp, and splinter. The posts, beams, and other frame components were too narrow and didn’t provide the beauty and longevity the family sought.

Elevated Elegance was the answer. This project is a complete deck replacement with the highest quality materials available. The design features beautiful aluminum railings, a drink rail, Deckorators composite decking, a picture frame border, and a hidden fastener system.
Even though the old deck’s underlying structure was still sound, we decided to replace it to ensure a long-lasting foundation for the beautiful Deckorators Khaya decking we would be installing.
The deep brown color of the Deckorators Khaya decking gives the space a sense of warmth and elegance. The black railings with a drink rail, which is the same color as the decking, create a cohesive look.
The picture frame border around the deck and stair treads, combined with a hidden fastener system and color-match screws, create an attractive finish that completes the space.
