This Fort Collins home needed a complete outdoor transformation. The existing double-decker delight was cramped and needed more space to entertain guests. The small grill was tucked away in a corner, making it difficult to cook and socialize simultaneously. Without any outdoor heating, evenings and chilly weather were not always comfortable.
It was time to give the homeowners the backyard they deserved. We completely redesigned the deck and patio to give the family a luxurious entertaining experience.
We expanded the footprint of both decks by removing the existing structures and replacing them with larger ones. The upper and lower decks were built with TimberTech decking for a modern, elegant look.
We added a drainage system to keep the lower deck dry and safe from water damage. This allowed us to include a custom-built island that creates the perfect outdoor cooking and entertaining spot.
The extra space on the decks allowed for a dining set and plenty of comfortable furniture, perfect for activities ranging from hosting dinner parties to stargazing around the firepit.
The project achieved an important goal – eliminating the temptation to return inside. The gas-powered fire pits on the lower patio area, and the upper deck keeps everyone warm and comfy year-round.
The double-decker delight outdoor space features durable TimberTech decking, a beautiful railing system, and a Blue Stain Pine tongue-and-groove ceiling. The staircase, constructed with a custom aluminum spiral design and TimberTech treads, adds a modern touch to the overall look.
With plenty of space to entertain, a custom-built kitchen island, and outdoor heating, this space is a delightful spot for gathering with friends and family.
