The Multi-Level Panoramic View in Boulder project aimed to transform a deteriorating wooden deck into a safer, more functional outdoor living space that embraced the stunning views of Boulder, Colorado. Prioritizing safety and aesthetics, the client’s primary concerns were addressing the deck’s aging structure and mitigating wildfire risks.
Project Highlights
The solution was a complete deck overhaul using high-quality, fire-resistant materials. The old deck was replaced with AZEK Vintage decking in Weathered Teak, chosen for its low-maintenance and Class A Flame Spread Rating, offering peace of mind and long-term durability.
The railing system was upgraded to Fortress fe26 steel in Black Sand, enhancing the deck’s fire resistance and providing a sleek, modern look that complements the panoramic surroundings. The deck framing was constructed with PWT for additional structural support.
This transformation not only improved the safety and durability of the deck but also preserved the client’s ability to enjoy their expansive views comfortably. The result is a multilevel deck that marries style with function, offering a fire-resistant, beautiful outdoor space perfect for relaxation and entertaining.
